Treatment for eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns and over-exercising

Dr Vanessa Bogle is a Chartered Psychologist and Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT), BABCP accredited. She has a Master Practitioner Diploma in Eating Disorders, including training in nutritional interventions, a BSc(Hons) in Fitness and Health and is a qualified exercise professional. Dr Bogle is also a Certified Intuitive Eating Therapist.

She specialises in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, over-exercising and body image concerns, helping people to rebuild their relationship with food, the mind and body. An eating disorder and disordered eating rarely exist on its own, often co-existing with other difficulties, such as low self-esteem, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, trauma and emotion dysregulation, which she is also experienced in treating,

She combines different approaches, according to the needs of her clients . They include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), intuitive eating, schema therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.

She strives to build a warm, trusting and collaborative relationship to explore difficulties and work through the best way forward to reduce distress and bring about meaningful and lasting change.

She works closely with other healthcare professionals, such as dietitian/GP to ensure that you are fully supported.
